Why Become a Member of the Calera Chamber Of Commerce?
The Calera Chamber of Commerce proudly serves as a front door to our community. Many requests are made each year for referrals to businesses and other community information. Only our Chamber members are refered, unless there are no Chamber Members in the category being requested. Membership with us also ensures active representation of your business. Contacts made through us will help you to build your business.
By joining with other businesses that are Chamber Members, the membership can work for you and your business as follows:
1. Relocation Inquiries List:: This is an excellent way to target new arrivals in our community, before they arrive in town. Your business will be included in information packets sent to new arrivals to our community. There is no fee for this participation. You will also have the option to offer discount coupons to new arrivals in our community or a new business. Should you decide to participate, a business needs to provide a supply of approximately 100 coupons to begin and supply additional coupons upon request if they decide to continue participation in this program. Note the size of the coupon should be not larger than 4"X9".
2. Advocacy: Your business interest are being represented when you join the Chamber. The Calera Chamber of Commerce concerns itself with many issues that impact the well being of the community at large; both in the political and nonpolitical arenas.
3. Advertising Opportunities: Promote your business on our web site as a "Web Site Sponsor".
Our Membership Directory gives classified, in alphabetical order, listing of Chamber Members.
Insert your discount coupons or a business insert in our kit provided to new and potential residents.
Display your business brochure, pamphlet or business card in our Chamber Office.
Participate in our many community activities such as the Christmas Parade.
4. Grand Openings and Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies: These are provided mainly to new members as a "Welcome" to the community. However, could be provided to business who are expanding or might be rededicating their business.
5. Networking: This is probably the most valuable benefit of Chamber Membership. It gives you a forum for making valuable business contacts within the Calera Community, as our events give members access to the key people needed for selling their products and services. Additionally we share experience, knowledge and insights on business issues. All Chamber venues give members a chance to promote their business through participation and or sponsorship. One of the best networking venues is the monthly General Membership Luncheon. Each monthly luncheon is sponsored by a different Chamber Member. Guest Speakers are present to provide information and address issues on important business related subjects. These monthly Luncheons have proven to be beneficial to all of our members.
In summary, the Calera Chamber of Commerce is strongly committed to meeting the needs of our members and the needs of the greater Calera Area Community. As a membership driven organization, the Calera Chamber of Commerce provides our members with focused key benefits and services.
The old saying "you get out what you put in" rings true for our Chamber members. Successful Chambers are driven by member participation, which in turn results in successful members. All of our members can play a significant role in the provision of membership services, recruitment, and retention; as well as in the publications and events.
